Who killed Rosie Larsen? 'Killing' has answer

Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman return to "The Killing."

On the one hand, the first season of AMC's "The Killing" was terrific: Soaked-to-the-bone atmosphere thanks to the endless Seattle rains, enigmatic leads who unfurled into realistic human beings over the course of 13 episodes, proper gumshoe detective work that focused on one case -- the death of teen Rosie Larsen.?

On the other hand, the show rightly irritated the heck out of loyal fans who were willing to put up with a plodding pace, red herrings and absolutely no resolution in the season finale. Show creator Veena Sud took a lot of flak for failing to provide any sort of resolution -- but she has promised that this season, audiences will learn who killed Rosie. But (mild spoiler alert) they won't find it out until season two's final episode.

So get prepared for Sunday's second season premiere by checking out this video, which recaps last season so you can tell one shadowy, drenched major player from the rest. And all we can say, AMC and Veena Sud, is that this better be good. You promised.

"The Killing's" second season begins airing on AMC on April 1.
