NCAA Football Rankings, Week 5: Rutgers Enters Poll, Oregon Climbs Over LSU

Rutgers enters the poll for the first time this year and the sixth time in school history in this week's AP top-25 poll.

Sep 23, 2012 - Rutgers has entered the AP top-25 for only the sixth time in school history, joining Oregon State and Baylor as the three new teams in the poll for this week.

They replace UCLA, Arizona, and Michigan. UCLA lost to Oregon State in Westwood 27-20, Arizona lost in a rout to Oregon 49-0 in Eugene, and Michigan lost a brutal defensive contest against Notre Dame 13-6.

Due to their blowout win over Arizona and LSU's struggles against an unranked Auburn team, Oregon has supplanted LSU as the number two team in the country. Interestingly enough, Oregon has no number one votes, while LSU still holds one, keeping Alabama from being a unanimous number one selection.

Here is this week's full AP top-25.
